We Provide Top Class Quality Services
Articulation
Difficulty producing sounds correctly. (e.g., substituting sounds: saying “wabbit” for”rabbit”, omitting sounds: saying “ca” for “cat”, or distorting sounds: saying “shoap” for “soap”). These difficulties can affect a child’s ability to be understood by others. If left untreated, challenges may arise with developing strong literacy skills, as they may struggle with sounding out words and connecting sounds to letters.
*Includes motor speech disorders (Apraxia)
AAC (communication devices)
Supporting children with communication challenges by using alternate forms of communication. AAC includes tools such as communication boards, speech generating devices, and apps designed to help children express their needs, thoughts and feelings. Ensuring every child has access to the most effective AAC tools, promoting better communication and independence.
Dyslexia Therapy
Individualized specialized treatments plans, using a structured, multisensory approach (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, tactile) rooted in the Orton-Gilling ham method. Through fun, evidence-based activities, we help “rewire” the brain, creating new neural pathways for reading success. Working on strengthening skills like phonological awareness, decoding, spelling, and fluency. Dyslexia therapy differs from traditional literacy/reading therapy because we address the underlying cognitive difficulties associated with dyslexia. Therapy is more frequent to ensure success through therapy.
Expressive Language
Improving a child’s use of language. Helping children communicate their thoughts, needs, and ideas clearly (e.g., asking questions, using appropriate grammar, expanding vocabulary, improving storytelling abilities, and expressing feelings and ideas more effectively)
Feeding
Difficulties with feeding, including challenges with chewing, swallowing, or food textures. Helping children develop the skills necessary to eat safely and comfortably, supporting both oral-motor skills and sensory aversions related to food. Addressing picky eating, food aversions, and transitions to more varied textures/food groups, promoting healthier eating habits and reducing mealtime stress.
Literacy Development
Development of essential literacy skills. Focusing on phonological awareness, decoding (sounding out words), reading comprehension, development of vocabulary, fluency (ease of reading) and spelling. Using the science of reading approach to help children become strong and passionate readers. Let’s make reading fun!
Parent Coaching
Parent involvement is crucial in supporting a child’s speech and language development. Working closely with parents to provide coaching and strategies that can be implemented at home. By carrying over these techniques into daily routines, parents can reinforce the skills learned in therapy, which significantly contributes to a child’s success. Parent coaching ensures that children receive consistent support, helping them make progress in communication skills more effectively and confidently.
Play-Based Therapy
A natural way for children to learn and develop communication skills. Through play, children explore their world, express their emotions, and build social, cognitive, and language abilities. By engaging in fun and interactive activities, children strengthen their problem solving skills, improve their ability to follow directions, and enhance their creativity. Play provides a safe space for children to practice new skills, build confidence, and improve their communication while having fun!
Receptive Language
Improving a child’s understanding of language. Helping children understand words, follow directions, and make sense of spoken and written language (e.g., listening comprehension, understanding questions, following multi-step instructions, and expanding understanding of vocabulary).
